So if you're in my area of California, you know it's COLD!!! If you're anywhere else and the temp in your area is in the single digits or negatives, you're probably laughing at me for thinking it's cold here...haha!!Anyways, I was warm while I was working out this morning, but went back to being a block of ice as soon as I was done! So I definitely wanted something warm to eat! Also, something easy and quick! So I made pancakes!!
Lori's delicious post-workout cakes:
-1 cup of multi-grain pancake mix (I used Fresh and Easy brand)
-1 cup of vanilla almond milk (Pacific Natural Foods)
-2 medium eggs
-2 tablespoons of flax seed
-1 scoop of Life's Basics (my favorite) plant based vanilla protein powder
*Top them with whatever you want...peanut butter is excellent for extra protein and fat, but I wanted SUGAR, so I used Fresh and Easy's pure maple syrup w/vanilla bean!!
